By accessing or using Locate-a-Quake ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

Locate-a-Quake provides earthquake search, mapping, and educational content based on publicly available data from third-party providers. The Service is offered on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.

The Service currently operates without user accounts. If future features introduce account-based experiences, additional terms or registration requirements may apply. You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials provided to you.

Locate-a-Quake integrates data and tools from the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program, OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Esri, and other providers. Each third party retains ownership of its datasets and may enforce separate terms or attribution requirements. Your use of those services is subject to the respective provider's policies.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Locate-a-Quake and its contributors will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Locate-a-Quake, its maintainers, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or part) at any time without notice. We may also update these terms, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state or jurisdiction in which the Service is primarily operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
